Lower-stress eye care for cats

Cats often object to restraint more than the product itself. Preparing the dose, choosing a quiet setting and keeping the session short can make routine care easier.

Set up first

Have the product open and a clean tissue ready before bringing your cat into position. Ask another person to help if your veterinarian has shown you a safe hold.

Keep it brief

Approach from outside the direct line of sight, avoid touching the applicator to the eye and reward calm behavior immediately afterward.

Do not wait on painful eyes

A closed, cloudy, injured or suddenly red eye is urgent. Contact a veterinarian rather than repeatedly attempting home care.

Important
